Performance

The Ford Bronco has a 10-speed automatic transmission and a fuel economy of 17/19 MPG. The base engine that drives the Ford Bronco is a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine produces 300 horsepower and 325 pounds-feet of torque. You can get either a seven-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission with the base engine. An available engine for the Bronco is a turbo 2.7-liter V6 engine. This engine generates 330 horsepower and 415 pounds-feet of torque.

Design

The newest Ford Bronco has tough-as-nails exterior with LED headlights, all-season tires, and 16-inch steel wheels. Tow hooks are also included with the base Bronco. LED fog lights are added to the Big Bend trim and up, which also has a distinctive grille. Alloy wheels and all-terrain tires are added to this trim as well. The Black Diamond has a black grille and rock rails that help prevent the body from getting damaged while you're venturing off-road.

With the Outer Banks comes upgraded LED lights, all-terrain tires, and body-colored door handles and mirrors. The Badlands has different LED lights and 33-inch tires. The Wildtrak has a turbo V6 engine, and the Everglades has LED lights, unique exterior features, an air snorkel, and a premium front bumper. Following that trim is the Raptor with a turbo 3.0-liter engine, 37-inch all-terrain tires, an active exhaust system, and FOX shocks.

Technology

While it may be a durable and rugged SUV, the Bronco also has a tech-savvy cabin. The Bronco has a push-button start and a digital instrument display. It has an 8-inch standard display screen and a six-speaker sound system. Satellite radio is standard with the Bronco. Wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and smartphone integration are alsostandard. A Wi-Fi hotspot is also included.

Its higher-end trims upgrade to a 12-inch touchscreen interface. The Mid package, which is available for most trims, adds ambient interior lighting, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, a premium 8-inch display, and more safety aids.

Safety Features

For safety, the Bronco starts off with hill descent control, hill start assist, trailer sway damping, and Trail Turn Assist, which helps the Bronco make tight turns safely when you're driving off-road. Rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic alert are also available safety features.

Trim Levels

There are six trims that you can choose from with the new Ford Bronco. The base model is called the Base, followed by the Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Raptor models.

  • The Base Bronco has tow hooks, LED headlights, a digital instrument display, and the choice of a manual or an automatic transmission.

  • A turbo engine powers the Wildtrak, and the Everglades has vinyl upholstery and a 12-inch display. The Raptor has an active exhaust and 37-inch tires.
